Work Wear in the Summer

This is the perfect top for work in the summer! One of the many things I got at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Navy is my new favorite color, I find myself picking up more and more items in this versatile color.

I wore this BCBG sleeveless cowl neck blouse to work today with white pants, and my nude Christian Louboutin pumps (I DIE for these shoes, beyond fab).  It’s loose and comfy, two of my favorite things!  Plus it is work appropriate, an added bonus.  This will be a regular in my work rotation!

KitchenAid Pasta Roller Set: Home-Made Pasta

Home-made pasta!  I just made pasta using my KitchenAid Pasta Roller and Cutter set!  The tomato plants in my garden have produced a surplus and there are more tomatoes than I know what to do with.  Last night I made fresh marinara sauce, and linguine.

I whipped up the pasta dough in the food processor, then rolled out thin sheets of lovely pasta and finally cut it into fabulous strands of linguine!  I have never felt more “chef-y” in my life!  The pasta cooked up in a flash, and was delicious.
This accessory is a must have for your Kitchen Aid stand mixer.  First linguine, next angel hair and beyond.  I’ve got to get more cutters, my set only came with the linguine.  More shopping to do!

Fit Flops: Tone on the Go!

FitFlop at ShopStyle

Fit Flops may be just what I needed without knowing it!  What women doesn’t want toned calves, legs and rear-ends?  But without all the squats, lunges, and sweating that is required to get those perfectly toned parts.  My new job makes hitting the gym on a regular basis practically impossible, so I’m all for anything that allows me to get in a bit of a work out outside of the gym.

While Fit Flops may not be the most attractive shoe, they are not the least either.  I’m going to give the Fit Flop Oasis a try!  After all if they do what they promise then I can sacrifice a bit of style for a better booty!

Have you tried out a pair of toning shoes?  Tell me about it, do they really work?
