Review: Blinc Mascara

Blinc at ShopStyle

Blinc mascara really doesn’t smudge or clump!  At first I couldn’t imagine what they meant by little tubes, it sounded pretty strange.  But then after my first day of wearing my Blinc mascara, I went to wash it off and the tubes came off with a little pressure and water.  I love this mascara because it stays put, and doesn’t give me raccoon eyes by mid-day.  However, you can’t apply more than one coat, because it dries quickly.  So if you want to really build up your lashes, then I would recommend trying DiorShow, or another brand.

This mascara is great for everyday wear, and so simple to remove at the end of the night.  Waterproof mascaras are often very difficult to remove, and the added stress to your lashes of trying to remove it can’t be healthy.  After many years of searching, I think I have found the perfect mascara!  Meeting all of my needs as a beauty product fiend, and contact lens wearer!

Review: Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I love to buy beauty products (it’s the shopping addiction), but am shamefully lazy about using them. I’ve been known to go to bed with make-up on. Don’t judge me! But now that I’m a year past 29, it’s time for me to solidify my routine.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System.  I’m a gadget freak, and love that this beauty wonder tool will wash my face for me!

I wish it would have come fully charged, and ready to cleanse, but I had to charge it for 24 freaking hours before I could give it a try.  Ugh!  24 hours never felt so long…

But it was worth the wait!  I’ve been using my Mia brush (almost) everyday and it definitely removes more dirt and makeup than just using your hands or a washcloth.  The Mia brush runs for 60 seconds, giving a deep cleanse and a sweet little massage.  After seeing the makeup that comes off on the brush after using it the first time, I was shocked at how much my makeup remover left behind.

Love it!  Definitely worth the money if you are serious about skincare.

On the Go: Make-Up Remover Wipes

I found my way back to the gym last night, after a long, long, long, long absence. It had been so long that I was surprised that I remembered where it was!

I went to the gym after work, and therefore, was still wearing make-up.  I always keep a package of wipes in my bag to remove my make-up before I work-out.  It’s the most convenient way to quickly remove your make-up.  Who wants to wash their face in the sink?  In fact, I’ve never seen anyone washing their face at the gym… how does everyone else take of their make-up?  Or do they just (gasp) leave it on?!

Not only is this not good for your skin, but leaves an icky mess on your sweat towel.  I like to buy the replacement or travel packs of the wipes because they are resealable, and don’t take up any room in my bag.

I also like to take them with me when I travel.  My make-up remover isn’t carry on friendly, and these are.  So no worries about checking luggage, or having something taken at security.
